GATE EXAM SYLLABUS
GATE 2021 Syllabus for Biotechnology (BT)
The GATE exam is usually conducted in the month of February. This year GATE 2021 exam will be conducted 5th -7th & 12th -14th of February.
The mode of the exam is CBT (Computer Based Test). The GATE 2021 application form will be released in 14th September. There are some updates in the GATE syllabus are made this year.

QUESTION TYPES:
Ø The question paper contains 3 type of questions
1. MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
2. MSQs (Multiple Select Questions)
3. NATs (Numerical answer type)

65 questions will be asked for 100 marks in the exam out it 15 from General
Aptitude and 55 from the subjects.
Marks Distributions- Biotechnology paper
o General Aptitude (GA) = 15 marks
o Engineering Mathematics = 13 marks
o Subject Questions = 72 mark
Total = (15+13+72) = 100 marks
- The
total duration of the exam is about 3 hours
- The negative marking is there for the Multiple-Choice Questions & Multiple Select Questions, and there are no negative marks for the Numerical Answer Type questions.
